Unitil's EV-specific time-of-use delivery rate, Schedule TOU-EV-R, is the main tool for New Hampshire residential customers who want to cut charging costs. It meters EV charging separately from the rest of the home and splits weekdays into three windows: off-peak from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., mid-peak from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on-peak from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. All weekend and weekday-holiday hours bill at the off-peak price. Charging overnight is where the rate pays off; drivers who must charge during the late-afternoon on-peak window will save less.

The EV time-of-use rate is the main EV-specific offer here, and it does not stack with a New Hampshire charger rebate, because Unitil does not have a confirmed New Hampshire residential or commercial EVSE rebate. Unitil's Ready2Charge rebates are limited to its Massachusetts customers and do not apply in New Hampshire. The EV rate uses a separate dedicated meter that an electrician wires and Unitil installs, with a $5.26 monthly customer charge, and customers commit to a 12-month term.

New Hampshire runs a restructured electricity market, so Unitil delivers power over its wires while energy supply is competitive or taken as default service. The time-of-use price signal applies to Unitil delivery charges, and so the dollar gap between off-peak and on-peak changes as those charges are updated.
