Mississippi Power does not offer a separate time-of-use rate built around EV charging. The utility states that customers who drive plug-in vehicles take its standard residential rate, and it has signaled that EV-specific rates may come later. In practice this means there is no off-peak window that lowers the price of overnight charging below the standard residential energy charge. EV owners on Mississippi Power pay the same per-kWh price to charge at 2 a.m. as they would running any other appliance.

Where Mississippi Power does help is on upfront cost. Residential customers can claim a vehicle rebate, up to $1,250 for a new EV, $1,000 for a leased EV, $750 for a used EV or new plug-in hybrid, and $500 for a leased or used plug-in hybrid, plus up to $250 toward a Level 2 home charger. Applications must be filed within 120 days of purchase, lease, or charger installation. These rebates do not depend on any rate enrollment. Commercial and multifamily customers follow a separate path, with $2,000 per Level 2 charger port.

Mississippi Power is one of two regulated utilities most EV shoppers confuse in this state. It is the Southern Company subsidiary covering the Gulf Coast and Pine Belt, and it is distinct from Entergy Mississippi, which serves the western and central parts of the state with a different rebate. Confirm your service territory on a recent bill before applying, since the two utilities run separate programs with different amounts and forms.
