Duke Energy Ohio does not offer an EV-specific time-of-use rate to residential customers. The residential rate schedules in PUCO Electric Tariff No. 19 are RS (standard residential service), RSLI (limited-income residential), and ORH (optional residential with electric space heating). None of these is structured around EV charging. Home charging in the Duke Energy Ohio territory is billed on the standard RS distribution rate, while the generation supply portion of the bill is priced separately by whichever competitive retail supplier or default standard service the customer has selected.

Because Duke Energy Ohio offers no residential or commercial EVSE rebate and no managed-charging program, there is no stacking opportunity. The Charger Prep Credit, the Park and Plug multifamily program, and the off-peak EV charging credits that appear under the Duke Energy corporate brand are restricted to the North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Indiana operating companies. None of these programs are open to Ohio customers. The federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Credit (30C), the main charging-infrastructure incentive an Ohio Duke Energy customer could previously use, ended June 30, 2026 and is no longer available, leaving no utility or federal charger rebate in this territory.

The defining structural fact for this territory is that Ohio is a deregulated, retail-choice electricity market. Duke Energy Ohio is the PUCO-regulated wires and distribution company; generation supply comes from a competitive retail electric supplier or the default standard service a customer selects through Ohio Customer Choice. That split means any future EV-specific rate or rebate from Duke Energy Ohio would touch only the distribution portion of the bill, and a customer's total charging cost today depends substantially on the generation price set by the chosen competitive supplier, not Duke's delivery charge alone.
