TMLP does not publish a separate per-kilowatt-hour time-of-use rate for EV owners. Instead of an EV tariff, residential customers who want to save on charging enroll in TMLP's off-peak charging credit, which pays a $10 per month bill credit for charging an electric vehicle between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. TMLP markets this as roughly the equivalent of paying 90 cents per gallon. The program suits drivers who can reliably schedule overnight charging at home.

TMLP's EV incentives are residential and stack with each other. A $450 customer rebate applies to the purchase of a new or used plug-in vehicle and is paid as a credit on the residential electric bill, and a separate rebate of up to $300 helps offset a Level 2 home charger or its wiring. The $10 per month off-peak credit is a behavioral program rather than a rate, so it works alongside the equipment rebates. The Level 2 charger rebate requires a residential TMLP account active for at least six months with a zero balance. TMLP lists no commercial or multifamily EV charging program at this time.

TMLP is a Massachusetts municipal light plant, not an investor-owned utility, so it is not regulated by the state Department of Public Utilities and is not part of the Eversource, National Grid, or Unitil statewide EV programs. That means the larger investor-owned utility rebates and managed-charging offers do not apply in TMLP territory; EV owners in Taunton should look only to TMLP's own programs, which are administered under the TMLP Drives Electric brand.
